We are a wonderful Year 1-3 class at Yaldhurst Model School. The name Te Pihinga means little seedling and shows how we have grown from the wee seeds that we were in 2020. We are extremely hard workers and are proud members of Te Pihinga class.

Making Connections in Reading
Today Ilahah read the story 'Sally and the Sparrows' .
Ilahah noticed that we had lots of sparrows outside.
Here is Ilahah feeding the sparrows bread just like Sally did in the story.
What a wonderful way to make your reading book come to life. Ilahah did you imagine you were Sally when you fed the birds? I wonder why we get so many sparrows at school? Do you think that maybe they hope for free food from our lunchboxes?
Thanks for sharing this wonderful story. :) Mrs Spragg
