3D Art!!

In Art this term we have been creating 3D Art. Our project over the last couple of weeks, has been using clay to make an animal. Then we needed to make a habitat for our animal. Some of us choose to make jungle animals and some of us made farm animals.

Stations During Reading

At reading time today we worked hard to choose stations to work at. We even answered our focus questions!

We decided 10mins at each station is best.

We are working on explaining our learning. 

WE HAD LAMBS COME TO VISIT DURING OUR FARM ANIMAL THEME WEEK!

We were able to ask questions about the lambs. 

These ones are being feed by bottle not their mother. 

We were interested to learn that the baby lamb keeps drinking without stopping when being feed from a bottle.

This week in Te Pihinga our topic is Snow and Ice week because we are going ice skating on Friday. We have been enjoying making penguin.

Disco Fun

We had so much fun at the disco!

Make sure you come in and check out our amazing work on the wall.

Together, we read the book “Perfect Square”, which begins with a perfectly happy square piece of paper. Each day of the week the square is ripped, cut, torn, crumpled, or wrinkled and made into a creation. We made our own version of the story, and created our artwork from one piece of square paper. Didn’t we do an amazing job!

Wow- 1st in New Zealand for 6 year olds! We were very lucky to have Austin bring in his BMX and tell us all about it.

During Reading Time... we have been learning about, Stick Insects Check out our Stick Insects and habitats!

We did our best to create our environment in a special way so the Stick Insect could be camouflaged! 

Library Time - we are such great readers!

We are so proud of Ruby getting a certificate for outstanding gymnastics on her first day!! What a HERO!

Te Pihinga class went outside with the bubble wand before writing today. We then went inside and wrote a Recount.
